North Arabian Sea (July 14, 2008) – Aviation Machinist Mates perform routine maintenance on aircraft aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). The aircraft carrier isdeployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, as well as Maritime Security Operations (MSO). Operations of the 5th Fleet area of responsibility are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
